My name is Erin Chriswell, and I started my fitness journey the summer of July 2014. I have been on every diet underneath the sun and tried things my friends were doing. It never dawned on me that what may work for some may not work for everyone. For me, nothing seemed to work. I just seemed to hit a wall every which way I turned. I had some added complications to boot in my weight loss journey. I honestly had not even considered that my metabolic issues such as Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome were the root cause of all my failed attempts. I was working so hard and still failing at my goals miserably. I decided to hire a personal trainer, discussed my metabolic issues, followed his instructions to the T and received little or no results. I couldn’t give up because I had come too far to give up. My father passed away in May of 2015 and I didn’t want to let myself or my dad down by giving up on all my hard work and goals. I knew that I had to keep going feeling like my dad was by my side the whole time.
Shortly after my father passed away, I began looking for a new gym. I wanted one that stood out above the rest and one that I could call my second home. I visited Rivertown Fitness Center and I fell in love with it immediately. It felt like the home I was searching for and had everything that any bodybuilder or athlete would ever need. I even gained a new best friend and mentor in the owner, Shannon Sharpe, that helped put me on the right path. She taught me how to eat certain foods for my body type and showed me different styles of working out like HIIT that changed my life. This inspired me to want to use my skills and experience of my own journey to help others wanting to change their lives for the better. Always remember to never forget that our only competition is ourselves and trying to be a better version every single day.
I started training my friends, family, and others for the love of helping others back in July of 2015. I have over 7 years training in the gym and over 6 years’ experience in personal & group training. I truly care about my client and there is nothing more important to me than helping someone go through an experience that makes them happy, confident, and strong. From personal experience I know how being overweight affects your life and I want to be there for those who want to bring about change. I want to help you discover the benefits of training that have helped me become the person that I am today and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
I understand that life can be hectic, and it is often tough to find time to work out. I have been there myself and I too made every excuse in not going. Carving our time for you will create a healthier and better quality of life.
Currently, I use my experiences to help design and tailor programs to suit clients with many different goals and needs. These programs are manageable, enjoyable, and are proven to work with hard work and never giving up. Fitness is not one size fits all. Everyone must find that passion or fire that ignites your soul and makes you want to keep coming back for more.
